I think that he will fail horribly and leave us with a socialistic government. But as my MSN sig goes:

"All hail Obama, the new Christ. He better bring this country change, or we will forcively change him."

I think he would make a pretty good president. Fail or no fail, it's still better than McCain in my opinion.

Well for one thing, I am not rich. McCain plans to lower taxes for the rich and raise taxes for the poor, while Obama plans to Raise the taxes on the rich and lower taxes for the poor. McCain Voted for $5 Billion in Tax Breaks for Big Oil Companies. McCain Voted Against Renewable Energy Technology in 2001.

McCain Voted Against American Consumers and for Rich Oil Companies... TWICE. In 2005, McCain twice voted against legislation that would have temporarily taxed oil company profits and provided consumers with a tax credit. [Senate Roll Call Vote #341, 11/17/05; Senate Roll Call Vote #331, 11/17/05]

Neither am I. In fact, to pay for college, I will need to join the military or take out loans. Fun stuff.

Oh blah. Just because he wishes to decrease taxes on the rich does not mean that he is going to increase taxes on the poor, as explained below.

For one, he said that his policies weren't the best in years past. Two, INCREASING taxes on the oil companies will only INCREASE prices on gas. Increased taxes harms no one but the consumer - which is what Obama fails to realize.

It is stupid to even think that increased taxes on the oil companies and rich would at all help our economy. The rich give us jobs and the oil companies sell us a very necessary product that is only control, price-wise, by America's government. These price controls are called "taxes." You see, after the government failed to renew a bill that taxed oil companies in the past few months (and banned off-shore drilling), what happened? Gas prices plummeted. Gas is around $2.30 here, when it used to be somewhere around $4.30 a gallon.

Now, the rich give us jobs. Without the rich, hundreds of thousands, even millions, of jobs would be lost. What does Obama consider rich? Over $250,000 a year. Tax everything and everyone higher than that. Well guess what? A business that makes less than $250,000 a year is not only small, but it is tiny! That's, at most, 7 minimum-wage jobs. Then you get companies that make billions of dollars a year. Companies like Microsoft. They make billions of dollars a year, but guess what? They also employ hundreds of thousand of people.

Taxing the rich will only increase our prices. In fact, it will increase prices, lose jobs, and possibly even lose the people that we need to provide jobs. Obviously, we need these people. If we didn't, then you and I would own our own businesses. Also, the rich are just in it for the money. I mean seriously, just like the gas companies, they are not here to provide everyone with free cash. The more money they lose, the more they will have to make to get all of it back. This then increases prices on whatever it is that they are selling.

I love how people think that a socialism, this being exactly that, will help out America. It's funny because not two decades ago, we were fighting against it. This nation that we fought against was HUGE. Its name? USSR, or Russia. (USSR stands for United SOCIALIST State of Russia.) How did the cold war end? In Russia's economy collapsing. How does Canada fair with their socialistic government? Most of the people are starting to hate their government. Even the UK is starting to hate their government - which is a socialism. Socialism has never worked in the past, it to think that it will work now just because we are American is absolutely preposterous.

What we need now is someone who will decrease the size of the federal government. The biggest tax cut would be us going back to a constitutionally correct government. Why do we pay so much in taxes? Because our government is so big. The size of it, and the programs it runs, both combine to make higher taxes. What is a constitutionally correct government? A constitutionally correct government is a government that protects its citizens and their rights, nothing more.

To protect the citizens rights, the most required would be $10 billion a month. That averages out to be about $334 a month per person. ($10,000,000,000 divided by 300,000,000 people. Obviously, the people who don't pay taxes would be made-up by other people.) This would go towards a military, national defense, and a police force. Our government constitutionally is only allowed that. Right now, we are a bit constitutionally incorrect. The fact that Obama will make us not only against what America has believe in for so long, but also will go against the constitution is the thing that millions of people in America just can't stand about him.

You see, McCain, nor anybody, would be able to bring us back to a constitutionally correct government. Why is this? People are too used to babying off the government. They expect the government to be large and to help its citizens. McCain would at least try to make us more constitutionally correct. And by extension, this would lower taxes. (Less government programs means less government taxes. You must realize that giving the money back to Americans, as Obama says, is only creating ANOTHER government program that needs to be funded.)

I just don't see Obama working as president, I am sorry.

Well i don't think it would have been much better with McCain. Times are hard, which means that we need to spend extra to get us out of the hole we are in.
